Gabby Zuniga, MIR, CHRL
Co-Founder of IDEA Content
Gabby Zuniga (she/her) is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Human Resources (HR). Her work has been pivotal in creating workplace cultures that not only embrace diversity but actively foster employee growth and well-being, driving exceptional business results along the way.
Gabby’s journey is rooted in her personal experience of immigrating to Canada from Chile at the age of 8. This early experience of navigating a new culture and overcoming the challenges of being an outsider profoundly shaped her belief in the importance of inclusion and belonging. It’s this background that continues to fuel her commitment to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive.
Gabby holds a BA from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree from Queen's University, which provided the academic foundation for her career. She has led DEI initiatives for multinational organizations, fostering meaningful change and building cohesive, high-performing teams. In addition to her corporate leadership, she shares her expertise by teaching about DEI in the workplace at Queen's University.
As the founder of Inclusive Kind, Gabby has collaborated with over 60 organizations in the past four years, helping them develop and implement tailored DEI strategies that align with their unique needs and goals. Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to inclusion have made a measurable impact, from transforming organizational cultures to fostering innovation and employee engagement.
In recognition of her contributions, Gabby was honored with the 2022 Rising Star Award by ALPFA. She lives in Toronto with her partner and two kids, where she balances her professional dedication with her commitment to family. Looking ahead, Gabby remains focused on building inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive and on continuing to drive meaningful change across industries.
Michael Bach, CCDP/AP
Co-Founder of IDEA Content
Michael Bach (he/him) is a nationally and internationally recognized thought leader and subject matter expert in the fields of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility. He is the founder of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), CCDI Consulting and Pride at Work Canada.
Michael has worked professionally in the areas of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility for nearly 20 years, most recently as the founding CEO of CCDI and CCDI Consulting.
Prior to taking on this role, he was the national leader for diversity, equity, and inclusion for KPMG Canada. Additionally, Michael spent 2½ years as Deputy Chief Diversity Officer for KPMG International.
Over the course of his career, Michael has received repeated recognition for his work, including being named:

Michael has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Diversity Management from Cornell University and holds the Cornell Certified Diversity Professional, Advanced Practitioner (CCDP/AP) designation.
His 2020 book Birds of All Feathers: Doing Diversity and Inclusion Right is a Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and Amazon bestseller, and recipient of the silver 2020 Nautilus Book Award in the category of Rising to the Moment, and a finalist in the Legacy Nonfiction category for the American Bookfest's Best Book Awards. His new book Alphabet Soup: The Essential Guide to LGBTQ2+ Inclusion at Work was released in March of 2022 and is a Toronto Star bestseller and finalist in the General Nonfiction category for the American Bookfest's Best Book Awards.
